TFYHI San Antonio has implemented their first engagements on OkaySo, supporting young people with sexual health information right on their phone! The app is a great way for youth and caregivers to safely and anonymously ask questions about sex and relationships any time, from anywhere. Check it out here.
TFYHI San Antonio reports two successful youth engagements this month through the college preparedness pilot: CLIMB at UTSA.
- In preparation for CLIMB’s summer sex ed sessions, TFYHI San Antonio met with eight young members to get their input on what they want to learn regarding sex and relationships. The main themes shared by students focused on consent, LGBTQ+ relationships, and contraceptives.
We continue to partner with some of the stars serving the foster community through child placements, residential assistance, peer mentorship, and advocacy. Our monthly stakeholder meetings are proving to be meaningful and collaborative. In efforts to develop a fully responsive community environment, the San Antonio team is looking to include healthcare providers that work directly with young people in care.
